HP High Court Recruitment 2022: Himachal Pradesh High Court (HP High Court) is inviting online applications from the desirous candidates to fill the posts of Peon, Clerk, Stenographer, Protocol Officer, Junior Office Assistant, Process Server, etc. Candidates must apply online mode. Candidates who satisfy all the eligibility criteria prescribed by the court are only eligible to apply.

About Himachal Pradesh High Court: The Princely States in Pre Independence India had different systems of Administration and sets of laws. In most of the Princely States, the administration was run on the whims of the Rulers or the Wazirs and their saying were considered to be the law. Himachal Pradesh was formed as a result of the integration of 26 Shimla and 4 Punjab hill States into a Centrally Administered Area on April 15, 1948. On 1st April 1954, the parts of Bilaspur were also merged with Himachal Pradesh having its Headquarters at Shimla, which was headed by the Chief Commissioner. The first Chief Commissioner was Mr. N.C. Mehta and he were assisted by his deputy Mr. E. Penderal Moon, ICS. On September 30, 1948, an advisory council was formed for the advice of the Chief Commissioner for administrative functions.

The Central Government promulgated the Himachal Pradesh (Courts) Order, 1948 on 15th August 1948. As per Paragraph 3 of this Order, the Court of Judicial Commissioner was established for Himachal Pradesh and the Court was housed at “Harvingtan” (Kelston area, Shimla). It was vested with the powers of a High Court under the Judicial Commissioner’s Court Act, 1950. Besides the Court of Judicial Commissioner, two Courts of District and Sessions Judges and 27 subordinate Courts were also set up.

 Age Limit

Candidates’ ages must be in between 18-45 years. Age is relaxable for reserved category candidates.

Educational Qualification

Protocol Officer Candidates must possess Bachelor’s Degree with Diploma in Food Beverages from a recognized University/ Institute
Clerk Candidates must possess Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University/ Institute with typing speed of 30 w.p.m. in English and 25 w.p.m in Hindi
Junior Office Assistant (IT) Candidates must possess BE/ B.Tech in CSE/ IT/ ECE or B.Sc (IT)/ BCA or PGDCA or Diploma in Computers with a minimum of 2 years of experience as a System Assistant from a recognized Institute.
Stenographer Grade-III Candidates must complete Graduation in any discipline from a recognized Institute with 80 w.p.m speed in English stenography and 60 w.p.m in Hindi stenography and relevant typing speed is required
Process Server Candidates must complete 10+2 from a recognized board.
Peon/ Orderly/ Chowkidar Candidates must complete 10+2 from a recognized board
Mali Candidates must complete Matriculation with Diploma in Gardening/ Floriculture from a recognized Board/ Institute.
Driver Candidates must complete Matriculation with possession of a valid LMV Driving license and minimum experience of 3 years in driving.

Selection Procedure

Candidates will be selected based on the Written test and Personal interview. The final list of candidates will be selected based on the merit marks for both written tests and personal interviews. All the shortlisted candidates will receive hall tickets/ admit cards prior to the examination date.

Application Fee

General category candidates must pay the fee of Rs. 340/-, and Rs. 190/- for reserved category candidates. The fee must be payable through online mode.

How to Apply

  • Before applying, candidates must go through the advertisement carefully and read the guidelines available on the online portal of the Himachal Pradesh High Court.
  • Candidates who are eligible to apply for more than one post need to submit an application for each post.
  • The number of vacancies may increase or decrease based on the availability at the time of selection.
  • Candidates shall not submit the application form to the registrar of the high court.
  • An incomplete online application form would not be accepted.
  • Printout of the application form and soft copy of documents need to submit at the time of the interview.

Certificates to be kept ready for submission at the time of interview:

  • Matriculation/10th Standard/HSLC Admit Card/Pass Certificate issued by Central/State Board
  • Certificates & Mark sheets of all examinations from HSLC onwards up to the level of the qualifying examination.
  • Degree/Diploma certificate along with mark sheets pertaining to all the academic years
  • Experience certificates, whenever specifically mentioned in the advertisement
  • Caste certificate issued by Government of Himachal Pradesh
  • Physically Handicapped certificate issued by the competent authority to Physically Handicapped persons
