WCL Apprentices Recruitment 2022: Western Coal Fields Limited (WCL) is inviting online applications to fill the posts of Graduate Apprentices, Technician Apprentices, and Trade Apprentices. Candidates who completed ITI, and Graduation in their respective disciplines are eligible to apply. Rules will be according to apprenticeship act no. 1961.
About Western Coal Fields Limited (WCL): Western Coalfields Limited (WCL), a ‘Miniratna’ Cat-1 PSU, which is a subsidiary of “Maharatna” Public Sector UndertakingCoal India Limited, commenced operation in 1975 with its Corporate office at Nagpur in Maharashtra. WCL is engaged in the mining and marketing of Coal. It operates through 82 mines spread over 10 areas located in different parts of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. The company undertakes both underground and opencast mining and employs a workforce of 56989 men and women as of 31st March 2012. It produced 43.11 million tonnes of coal in the year 2011-12 and has marketed a quantity of 41.97 million tonnes

Age limit
Educational Qualification
Trade Apprentices:
Candidates must complete ITI in the concerned trades from a recognized Board/ Institute.
Security Guard:
Candidates must complete Matriculation from a recognized board/ Institute.
Graduate Apprentices:
Candidates must possess BE/ B.Tech in the respective discipline from a recognized University/ Institute.
Technician/ Diploma Apprentices:
Candidates must possess a Diploma in the respective trades/ disciplines from a recognized University/ Institute.
Pay Scale
Selected candidates will receive payments for Trade Apprentices, Graduate, and Technician Apprentices as mentioned

Selection Procedure
- Selection to the posts of Graduate Apprentices, Trade Apprentices is completely based on their academic merit followed by an interview
- Candidates who qualified in the examination with higher merit are only eligible for a personal interview.
- The final selection will be based on both the marks got in the written tests and personal interviews.
- Every provisionally selected candidate, prior to being appointed for the post, is required to undergo a Pre-Employment Medical examination as per the prescribed health standards of Western Coal Fields Limited by the Company’s Medical Officer and subject to being found Medically Fit, prescribed for the post.
