SBI PO Recruitment 2022: State Bank of India (SBI) is inviting online applications for the posts of Probationary Officer across all branches in India. Candidates who possess a Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant disciplines are only eligible to apply.

Age Limit

Candidates’ age is in between 21-30 years. Age is relaxable for reserved category candidates. Age is reckoned as on 01-04-2022.

Age is relaxable for reserved category candidates as follows:

  • SC/ST Candidates: 05 years
  • OBC (NCL) Candidates: 03 years
  • PwBD (Gen/EWS) Candidates: 10 years
  • PwBD (OBC) Candidates: 13 years
  • PwBD (SC/ST) Candidates: 15 years

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must complete a Graduation Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or who completed Integrated Dual Degree within 30-11-2022 from a recognized Institute.
  • Candidates who are pursuing their final year/ final semester of the graduation degree are also eligible to apply. But they must be able to produce their certificates within the date specified by the bank.

Pay Scale

Selected candidates will get pay in the range of Rs. 36000-1490/7-46430-1740/2-49910-1990/7-63840/- (Basic pay is Rs. 41,960/- PM)

Selection Procedure

Candidates will get selected for the posts of Probationary Officers based on their performance in the three-stage selection procedure.

  • Preliminary Examination
  • Main Examination
  • Interview

SBI PO Preliminary Examination Pattern:

Total Number of Questions – 100 MCQs

Total Marks – 100

Subjects:

  • English Language – 30 questions
  • Maths – 35 questions
  • Reasoning – 35 questions
  • Time: 20 minutes
  • NM – 1/4th of marks will be deducted for a wrong answer

SBI PO Mains Examination Pattern

Candidates who got qualified in the Preliminary Examination are only eligible to appear in the Main examination. For every correct answer, 1 mark will be awarded, for every wrong answer, 1/4th of the mark will be deducted.

Total Number of Questions – 155 MCQs and 2 Descriptive Type Questions

Total Marks – 200 for MCQ and 250 for Descriptive Paper

  • Reasoning & Computer Aptitude – 40 Qs of 50 Marks
  • Data Analysis & Interpretation – 30 Qs of 50 Marks
  • General/ Economy/ Banking Awareness – 50 Qs of 60 Marks
  • English Language – 35 Qs of 40 Marks
  • Time: 20 minutes

Psychometric Test:

The Bank will conduct a Psychometric test for personality profiling, of those candidates who will be shortlisted for Phase III. The finding of the test may be placed before the Interview panel for having a thorough perspective on the candidates.

Final selection for the posts of Probationary Officers will be made based on their performance in the Preliminary Examination, and Mains Examination followed by an interview.

Application Fee

General/ OBC/ EWS Category candidates must pay an application fee of Rs. 750/-. The fee must be payable through online mode. Reserved category candidates are exempted from the payment of the application fee.

  • Visit the official website, www.sbi.co.in, and check the careers tab, thereby clicking on current openings to view the recruitment notification.
  • Click on the recruitment notification for Probationary officers.
  • Check all the eligibility before applying to the posts.
  • After checking your eligibility, click on the Online application form.
  • Fill out all the particulars in the online application form carefully at the appropriate places.
  • Upload a recent copy of the passport-size photograph, signature, and relevant certificates of testimonials at designated positions.
  • Submit the online application form after checking all the details.
  • Take a printout copy of the SBI PO online application form for future reference.

Documents need to be submitted at the time of Submission of the Application Form:

1. Scanned Photo duly signed by the Candidate.
2. Scanned Signatures of the Candidate.
3. Scanned copies of degrees and mark sheets of Educational Qualifications.
4. Scanned copy of SC/BC-A/BC-B/EWS/ESMiDESM/DFF certificate.
5. Scanned copy of PwBD Certificate. (For PwBD).
6. Scanned copy of Domicile Certificate.
