RFRI Jorhat Recruitment 2022: Rain Forest Research Institute, Jorhat (RFRI Jorhat) is inviting applications to fill the posts of Technical Assistant, Multitasking Staff (MTS) on a temporary basis. Candidates must read the recruitment notification carefully before applying for the posts. Selected candidates will get paid according to the rules of Pay Matrix 1, and Pay Matrix level 5 by the recruiting organization.
About Rain Forest Research Institute, Jorhat: In order to have adequate research back up for the development of the forestry sector in the northeastern region of the country, the Institute came into existence in April 1988. Its origin dates back to 1976 when a Regional Centre of Forest Research Institute, Dehra Dun, was established at Burnihat (Assam) to extend knowledge on forestry-related issues through research, education, and extension in general and to support forestry research in northeastern states.
The Centre advanced steadily in terms of infrastructure and established itself as a nucleus for research on forestry and ecology-related issues of the region. It was upgraded to the Institute of Rain and Moist Deciduous Forest Research (IRMDER) now known as the Rain Forest Research Institute (RFRI). The Institute has evolved into one of repute, delivering yeoman service in the field of forestry resources and technology extension to all NE states including Sikkim.

Age Limit
Candidates’ age should be in between 21-30 years for Technical Assistant, 18-40 years for the post of Multi Tasking Staff. Age is relaxable for reserved category candidates which is prescribed below.

Educational Qualification

Selected Candidates will receive payment according to the mentioned amounts by the recruiting organization

Selection Procedure
- Selection for the posts of Technical Assistant, Multi Tasking Staff will be based on their performance in the Written test followed by an interview.
- After receipt of applications, Rain Forest Research Institute, Jorhat (RFRI) will shortlist the candidates to appear in a written test.
- Hall tickets/ Call letters for written tests/skill tests for those who will be screened-in will be sent through email only and no hard copy will be sent.
- The written test is conducted for both posts inorder to test their evaluation skills
- The written test is conducted for the post of Technical Assistant in Degree standard. The written test is 100 questions.
- The written test is conducted for the post of Multi Tasking Staff in Matric standard. The written test is 100 questions.
Documents to be carried at the time of the interview:
1. Aadhar Card
2. SSC Marksheet Certificate
3. Degree Certificate marks sheets (all semesters or consolidated mark sheet)
4. Provisional Certificate of qualifying Degree
5. Reservation certificate (SC, ST, OBC, EWS, XSM, PWD/PH) if applicable.
Documents need to be submitted at the time of the interview:
1. One set of Photocopy/Xerox copies of all the above Certificates
2. Aadhar xerox proof.
3. Recent copies of Passport size photographs.
Application Fee
Candidates must pay a nonrefundable fee of Rs. 300/- to be deposited in the Savings Bank account of Union Bank of India, Jorhat Branch in the favour of the Director, RFRI, Jorhat, Payable at Assam.
