MAHAGENCO Engineers Recruitment 2022: Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Limited (MAHAGENCO) is inviting online applications to fill the posts of Assistant Engineer, and Junior Engineer on direct recruitment basis. Candidates must possess BE/ B.Tech in the respective disciplines in order to apply for the posts.
About MAHAGENCO: MAHAGENCO has the highest overall generation capacity and the highest Thermal installed capacity amongst all the State Power Generation utilities in India. In terms of installed capacity, it is the second-highest State-owned Generation Company after NTPC. It was established by the government of Maharashtra under the central electricity act-2003 with the principal objective of engaging in the business of generation of electricity, & MAHAGENCO produces the cheapest power for consumers in the state.

Age Limit
Candidates’ age is a maximum of 38 years. Age is reckoned as on 17-12-2022
- The upper age limit for departmental candidates is 57 years.
- The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for the candidates applying for the Backward Category post.
- For candidates who are applying for Open vacancies, the age limit will be applicable as per Open Category.

Selection Procedure
- The Recruitment process will be tentatively conducted in the month of Jan-2023
- The Online exam will include questions from Degree/ Diploma course mentioned under the respective stream. The candidate is requested to take note of the same.
- Candidates who got qualified in the online test are only eligible to appear in the interview.
- The Backward Category candidate must secure at least 20% marks out of the total marks & Open category candidates must secure at least 30% of marks out of the total marks to consider for the selection process.
Application Fee
General category candidates must pay a fee of Rs. 800/-, and Rs. 600/- for reserved category candidates to the post of Assistant Engineer, General category candidates must pay a fee of Rs. 500/-, and Rs. 300/- for reserved category candidates to the post of Junior Engineer. The fee must be payable through the online mode
