KSSB Recruitment 2022: Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) is inviting online applications for the posts of Junior Engineer under the Public Works Department (R&B) from the residents of Jammu & Kashmir. Candidates who complete a Diploma, BE/ B.Tech are only eligible to apply.
About Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB): The Services Selection Board has been constituted in the exercise of powers conferred by Provision of Section 124 of the Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir. The Rules have been made under SRO 194 of 1992 as amended upto date. The Rules are applicable to the following Non-Gazetted categories of posts:-

Age Limit
Candidates’ age must not be more than 40 years. Age is relaxable for reserved category candidates. Age is reckoned as on 01-01-2022
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess Diploma in Civil Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering or BE/ B.Tech in Civil/ Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University/ institute
Candidates who possess AMIE in the respective disciplines are only eligible to apply
The candidates who are able to prove, by documentary evidence, that the result of the qualifying examination was declared on or before the cut-off date i.e. 20.12.2022 and he/she has been declared passed, will also be considered to meet the educational qualification
Pay Scale
Selected candidates will receive pay of about Rs. 35,400 – 1,12,400/- (Level-6) by the recruiting organization.
Selection Procedure
a.) The Examination will consist of Objective Type, Multiple Choice Questions. The questions will be set in English Language only.
b) There will be a Negative Marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
c.) Marks scored by candidates in the written test will be normalized to determine final merit and cut-off marks.
Application Fee
General category candidates must pay an application fee of Rs. 550/-, and Rs. 450/- for reserved category candidates. The fee must be payable through online mode.
