HP Ayush Department Recruitment 2022: Himachal Pradesh Ayush Department (HP Ayush Department) is inviting applications to fill the posts of Panchkarma Masseurs (Class-IV) on a Daily wage basis. Desirable candidates may apply through offline mode.
About Himachal Pradesh Ayush Department: The Board of Ayurvedic and Unani Systems of Medicine, Himachal Pradesh is functioning since 1971. Its main function is to register Ayurvedic and Unani Practitioners in the State of Himachal Pradesh and regulate the practice in such systems. The Board of Ayurvedic & Unani Systems of Medicine, Himachal Pradesh is governed by the Himachal Pradesh Ayurvedic and Unani Practitioners Act, 1968 and it was established under section 3 of the said act. However the Himachal Pradesh Ayurvedic and Unani Practitioners Act, 1968 has been amended as the Himachal Pradesh Ayurvedic and Unani Practitioners (Amended) Act, 1977. Presently the Board is registering both Doctors and Pharmacists of Ayurvedic and Unani Systems of Medicine who are bonafide residents of Himachal Pradesh.
Earlier the practitioners on experience basis were also registered under Part-III but after the enforcement of the Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970, which came into force w.e.f. 01.10.1976 in all the states of India only qualified practitioners are eligible for registration.

Age Limit
Candidates’ age should be in between 18-45 years as of 01-01-2022. Age is relaxable for reserved category candidates.
- OBC/ BC Candidates: 5 Years
- SC, ST Candidates: 5 Years
- PWD Candidates: 5 Years
Educational Qualification
Essential Qualification:
- Candidates must complete Matric from a recognized Board of School Education.
- Provided that the Middle and Matriculation must be passed from any School/Institution situated within Himachal Pradesh.
- Provided further that this condition shall not apply to Bonafide Himachalis.
- 06 (Six) months Diploma/Training Certificate in Panchkarma from an institution recognized by the Government of Himachal Pradesh.
Desirable Qualification:
Knowledge of customs; manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in the Pradesh
Pay Scale
Selected Candidates will receive pay of about Rs. 350/- per day. Candidates will be selected on a daily wage basis.
Selection Procedure
Selection for appointment to the post in the case of direct recruitment shall be made on the basis of merit of prescribed educational qualification followed by evaluation as specified here under
The merit of minimum educational qualification, in terms of the Recruitment & Promotion Rules, shall be calculated as under- {Percentage of marks obtained in prescribed educational qualification to be calculated out of 85 marks. For example, a candidate getting 50% marks in Matric will be given 42.5 marks}
Evaluation of the candidates: 15 marks (The scrutiny/verification and evaluation of documents/certificates shall be made by constituting a Committee of the departmental officers. The final selection will be made on the basis of merit of prescribed educational qualification followed by evaluation as per R&P Rules)
Total marking procedure for the candidates: 100 marks

1. Aadhar Card
2. SSC Marksheet Certificate
3. Provisional Certificate of qualifying Degree.
4. Reservation certificate (SC, ST, OBC, EWS, XSM, PWD/PH) if applicable.
Documents need to be submitted at the time of the interview:
1. One set of Photocopy/Xerox copies of all the above Certificates
2. Aadhar xerox proof.
3. Recent copies of Passport size photographs.
