About Food Corporation of India: The Food Corporation of India was setup under the Food Corporation’s Act 1964, in order to fulfill the following objectives of the Food Policy:
- Effective price support operations for safeguarding the interests of the farmers.
- Distribution of food grains throughout the country for a public distribution system.
- Maintaining a satisfactory level of operational and buffer stocks of foodgrains to ensure National Food Security
Since its inception, FCI has played a significant role in India’s success in transforming crisis management-oriented food security into a stable security system.

Selection Procedure
The candidates who satisfies the desirous eligibility criteria will be provisionally shortlisted for an online test. The online test is divided into two phases.
Phase-I Examination Pattern:
- The online test is 100 marks and 100 question marks.
- Each question carries 1 mark, and there will be a negative marking of 1/4th mark for every wrong answer.
- The duration of the examination is 1 hour, There is particular timing for each and every section in the examination.
- Marks obtained in the Phase-I examination are not considered for final selection.

Phase-II Examination Pattern:
- Phase-I and Phase-II Examinations will be conducted on the same day.
- Questions in Paper II are related to their subjective knowledge.
- Phase-II Examination comprises 60 questions, each question carries 2 marks.
- For every wrong answer, 1/4th of the mark will be deducted.

General/ OBC/ EWS Category candidates must pay an application fee of Rs. 500/- through online mode, Reserved category candidates are exempted from the payment of the application fee.
