AIIMS Guwahati Junior Residents Recruitment 2022: All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Guwahati (AIIMS Guwahati) has issued a recruitment notification to fill the posts of Junior Residents. Desirous candidates must attend the walk-in interview at AIIMS Guwahati on a temporary basis. Walk-in-interview date will be published on the Institute’s website in due course.
About All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Guwahati: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) – Guwahati, an autonomous Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare – Government of India, was established under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY) in May 2017. The foundation stone of the Institute was laid by the Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on May 26, 2017.
The Institute has been set up with the aim of correcting regional imbalances in quality tertiary level healthcare and attaining self-sufficiency in graduate and postgraduate medical education. The Institute intends to develop model patterns of teaching in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education in all its branches to demonstrate a high standard of medical education to all medical colleges and other allied institutions in India.

Age Limit
Candidates’ age be according to the Government of Assam rules and regulations
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must complete MBBS from a University recognized by the State Medical Council/ Medical Council of India
- Candidates must complete an internship for a period of one year.
- Only the candidates who have completed the internship on or before the date of the interview are only eligible to apply.
Pay Scale
Selected candidates will get paid an average of Rs. 56,100/- + NPA by the recruiting organization
Selection Procedure
- The screening Committee would be screening the documents submitted by the candidates before the interview and the eligible candidates as declared by the Screening Committee would be allowed to appear for the Interview.
- The written examination will only be conducted when the number of applicants is more than three times the number of posts advertised. However, there will be no written test for the post against which less number of applications are received than the vacancies.
- The merit list (selected and waiting list) for all categories i.e. UR/EWS/OBC/SC/ST shall be prepared on the basis of combined marks of written tests and personal interviews or only personal Interviews.
- Selected Candidates will be expected to stay in Institute Campus if offered residential accommodation.
Application Fee
General category candidates must pay a fee of Rs. 1500/-, and Rs. 1200/- for reserved category candidates. Payment should be made to AIIMS Guwahati account.
