About Bokaro Steel Plant: Bokaro steel plant the fourth integrated plant in the public sector started taking shape in 1965 in collaboration with the Soviet Union. The Plant is hailed as the country’s first Swedish Steel Plant, built with maximum indigenous content in terms of equipment, material, and know-how. Its first Blast Furnace started on 2nd October 1972 and the first phase of 1.7 MT Ingot steel was completed on 26th February 1978 with the commissioning of the third Blast Furnace. All units of 4 MT stage have already been commissioned and the modernisation taken subsequently has further upgraded this to 4.65 MT of liquid steel.

Note: Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories may also apply against the unreserved posts provided they fulfill the eligibility criteria for the unreserved category.
Age Limit: Candidates, age must be maximum of 28 years. Age is relaxable for reserved category candidates.
Educational Qualification

Physical Fitness
Male candidates must have a minimum height of 155 cm, Female candidates must have a height of about 143 cm, the Weight of male candidates should be 45 kg, and female candidates’ weight must be 35 kg.
The medical standards indicated above are minimum prerequisites. Before applying, candidates must ensure that they possess the above-mentioned Physical Standards
Selection Procedure
Candidates are selected for the posts of Attendant Cum Technician Trainee (ACT) based on their performance in the written test. The written test comprises General Awareness (40 Questions), Logical Reasoning (30 Questions), Quantitative Aptitude (30 questions)
Candidates who qualified in the Written test are only eligible to appear for the Proficiency test followed by an interview.
Documents need to be carried out while applying through online mode:
- A valid E-mail ID for registration and for receiving all future correspondence
- One working Mobile Number to receive SMS-based notifications/communications related to the online application
- Facility with internet connectivity.
- A recent scanned passport-sized color photograph (for scanning and uploading in “jpeg” format only. File size of scanned photograph should not be more than 100KB).
- Candidates applying for the post of Attendant-cum-Technician Trainee must upload their National Apprentice Certificate issued by NCVT in digital form
- Your scanned signature using a Blue/Black pen on a white sheet
- Access to an online payment facility/service such as a) Net Banking b) Credit card c) ATM-cum-Debit card d) Or apply for offline payment through a bank.
How to Apply?
- The applicant must visit the SAIL careers page at www.sail.co.in or www.sailcareers.com.
- The applicant is required to read the Advertisement carefully to be certain about your eligibility.
- The applicant is required to register himself/herself for the online application process at the online portal (by clicking on New User) and complete the ONE-TIME registration process. Please note, that One-Time registration is not an application to any examination or recruitment and it is just the collection and registration of information in advance. Candidates will have to apply separately after the one-time registration is complete
- Once registered, click on the link Apply.
- Activate your online Application with the Email ID and Your Activation Code; send it to your submitted Email ID / Mobile No. in the registration process.
- The applicant is required to fill in his “Personal information” after login. The application form will appear on the screen. The applicant is required to fill up the required details in the application form. 4. In the next step, the applicant is required to upload scanned image files of his/her Photograph and Signature one by one.
- Ensure the information provided is correct.
- Candidates applying for the post of ACTT are required to ensure that they have uploaded the requisite qualification certificate i.e. National Apprenticeship Certificate along with other details.
- In the next step, the applicant is required to fill the Educational Information.
- Once all the details are filled in, the candidate is required to Review the details entered and Confirm. No edit will be allowed once the application is confirmed.
- Payment of fee’s through online mode. The link for payment will be available once the application of the applicant is complete in all other respects. The candidate will have to bear the bank charges in addition to the applicable application & processing fee
- At every stage of the application process, the candidate must note that all the information provided is correct.
