About Patna High Court: In 1948, the Patna High Court exercised jurisdiction over the territories of the Province of Bihar & Orissa until 26 July 1948, when a separate high court was constituted for Orissa. The Patna High Court opened a circuit bench at Ranchi in 1972. In 1976, the circuit bench of the Patna High Court at Ranchi became a permanent bench. In 2000, the circuit bench of the Patna High Court at Ranchi became the Jharkhand High Court in November 2000, under the Bihar Reorganisation Act, 2000.
Starting 18 April 2015, the Patna High Court planned a year-long centenary celebration of 100 years of establishment, and the occasion was inaugurated by the president of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee, and chaired by the governor of Bihar Shri, Keshari Nath Tripathi; the chief justice of India, H. L. Dattu; and the chief justice of the Patna High Court, L. Narasimha Reddy.

Age Limit
Candidates’ age should be in between 18-37 years as of 01-01-2022. Age is relaxable for reserved category candidates. Relaxation is provided to candidates according to rules and regulations

Educational Qualification
- Graduation with English as one of the subjects from a recognized University.
- Diploma/ Certificate of at least six month’s course in Computer Application from a recognized Institution.
- Preference will be given to Post-graduate candidates in English/ Hindi.
- Preference will also be given to the candidates having knowledge of Urdu/ Bangla/ Kaithi.
Preferential Qualification:
A candidate
- who has served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years, or
- who has obtained a ‘B’ certificate of the National Cadet Corps shall, other things being equal, be given preference in the matter of direct recruitment to the establishment at the time of interview?
Pay Scale
Selected Candidates will get payment of about Rs. 44,900 – 1,42,400/- by the recruiting organization.
Selection Procedure
- The Translator Recruitment Examination, 2022 shall be conducted in 03 (three) stages i.e. Written Test, Computer Proficiency Test, and Interview. If the number of applicants is on the higher side, the High Court reserves the right to shortlist the candidates through screening or preliminary test
- The written test consists of General English, General Hindi, and General awareness subjects
- Candidates who got qualified in the written test are only eligible to appear in the Computer proficiency test
- Candidates who got good secure in the Written test and computer proficiency test are only eligible to appear for an interview

2. SSC Marksheet Certificate
3. Degree, PG Certificate
4. Provisional Certificate of qualifying Degree
5. Reservation certificate
6. Valid active E-mail id.
7. Valid mobile number for receiving SMS
8. Online payment facility for paying the requisite amount of application fee.
9. Recent copies of passport-size photographs and signatures.

General/ BC/ EBC/ EWS Category candidates must pay an application fee of about Rs. 1000/-, Rs. 500/- for reserved category candidates. The fee must be payable through online mode.
