Naval Ship Repair Yard Goa Recruitment 2022: Naval Ship Repair Yard is inviting applications for the below-mentioned posts from eligible candidates to fill the posts of Trade Apprentices depending on the requirement. A total of 150 vacancies for the Naval Ship Repair Yard, Karwar, and 30 vacancies for the Naval Aircraft Yard (Goa), Dabolim, Goa as per the distribution.
About Naval Ship Repair Yard, Goa: The Company, under the name “Estaleiros Navais De Goa”, was established at Vasco da Gama in November 1957 by a special decree issued under Portuguese laws. Following the liberation of Goa in December 1961, this Company was taken over by the Government of India and was given on lease to Mazagaon Dock Limited from April 14, 1962, to Sept. 30, 1967. The name of the Company was changed to Goa Shipyard Limited with effect from Sept. 29, 1967. The Company started functioning under its own Board of Directors with effect from October 01, 1967. GSL is a Central Public Sector Undertaking under the administrative control of the Ministry of Defence, Department of Defence Production and Supplies.

Age Limit
Candidates’ age should be in between 14-23 years as of 01-04-2023. Age is relaxable for reserved category candidates.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must complete ITI in the concerned trades by the National / State Council for Vocational Training (NCVT / SCVT) with an aggregate of 65% of marks.
Pay Scale
Selected candidates will get paid according to the pay range mentioned below
(Presently, Rs. 7700/- per month for one year ITI certificate holder and Rs. 8050/- per month for two years ITI certificate holder
Selection Procedure
Preliminary selection will be made on the basis of marks obtained in the Matric and ITI examinations. Candidates in the Preliminary Merit list will be called for written examination and interview. A call letter for a written examination will be issued to all eligible candidates on their registered email ID. The test / Interview is likely to be held in Feb 2023. Written examination would be objective type based on Mathematics, General Science, and General Knowledge. A merit list shall be prepared on the basis of a written examination.
No travel expenses are admissible for candidates called for written examination.
