IPR Recruitment 2022: Institute of Plasma Research (IPR) is inviting online applications for the posts of Stipendiary Trainees. Stipendiary Trainees notification was issued for the Category II Posts. Selected candidates will be recruited on a three stage selection procedure.
About Institute of Plasma Research (IPR): The Institute for Plasma Research can trace its roots back to the early 1970’s when a coherent and interactive programme of theoretical and experimental studies in plasma physics with an orientation towards understanding space plasma phenomena was established at the Physical Research laboratory.

Age Limit
Candidates’ age should be in between 18-22 years. Age is relaxable for reserved category candidates. Age is reckoned as on the last date of receipt of the application form, i.e. 04-11-2022.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must complete SSC with a trade certificate in Electrician/ Fitter/ Machinist/ Electronic Mechanic/ Draftsman (Mechanical) from a recognized Institute with a minimum 60% of marks.
The candidates should meet any of the following requirements as regards to Trade Certificates in order to apply for the posts of Stipendiary Trainees:
1. National Trade Certificate (NTC) (ITI pass out) of two-year duration.
OR
2. National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) of Two years duration under the Apprenticeship Training Scheme.
OR
3. NTC (ITI pass out) of one-year duration plus one-year relevant work experience after the completion of course.
OR
4. NTC (ITI pass out) of one-year duration plus NAC of minimum one-year duration under the Apprenticeship Training Scheme.
Pay Scale
Selected Candidates will receive payment i.e. stipend according to the mentioned amounts by the recruiting organization
- Rs. 10,500/- per month for 1st year.
- Rs. 12,500/- per month for 2nd year.
Upon successful completion of training, the Trainees will be considered for placement in the following
post with the entry pay of about Rs. 21,700/- PM by the recruiting organization
Selection Procedure
The selection process will consist of tests in a three-stage selection process
- Preliminary Test
- Advanced Test and
- Skill Test
Stage-1 (Preliminary Test):
The preliminary written test will consist of 50 multiple choice questions (choice of 4 answers) of one-hour duration in the following proportion:
a. Mathematics: 20 questions
b. Science: 20 questions
c. General awareness: 10 questions
Three (3) marks will be awarded for each correct answer and One (1) mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
Stage 2 (Advanced test):
- The Test will comprise of 50 multiple choice questions (choice of four answers) of two hours duration.
- Three (3) marks will be awarded for each correct answer and One (1) mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer
- A merit list of candidates will be prepared after Stage 2 based on scores obtained in Stage-2 test only.
Stage 3 (Trade test):
Based upon the Merit List prepared after Stage 2, candidates will be shortlisted for Stage 3 (Trade/Skill Test)
in each Trade. Candidates clearing the Trade/Skill Test will be shortlisted and empaneled in order of merit based on marks secured in Stage 2.
Documents to be carried at the time of Submission:
1. A recent passport-size colour photograph.
2. Copies of the following supporting documents:
i) Proof of age. ( Refer above at S. No. 13 of general information)
ii) Educational mark sheets/certificates/degrees.
iii) Experience certificate(s) (If applicable).
iv) Certificate of caste/community/class in the prescribed format (if applicable).
v) Copy of application fee payment receipt (if applicable)
vi) Any other relevant document(s).
Application Fee
Candidates must pay a nonrefundable fee of Rs. 200/- through online mode. The fee is exempted for reserved category candidates
