IGIMS Junior Residents Recruitment 2022: Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS) has issued a recruitment notification to fill the posts of Junior Residents Excluding dentistry in different departments. Desirous candidates must attend the walk-in interview at Medical College, Patna on a temporary basis.
About Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Patna (IGIMS Patna): IGIMS was established on 19th November 1983, as an autonomous organization on the pattern of All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. The objective was to provide super specialty medical facilities in Bihar. On 27th January 1983 Cabinet approved the completion of this massive project in 4 phases within a span of six (6) years. According to the decision of the State Government, 130.20 Acres of land was transferred to IGIMS. It was proposed that the hospital will be completed by 1990 with a capacity to house 1000 beds. The estimated cost was 110 Crore rupees which were later revised to 133 crores. Because of financial stringency, only 4669.30 Lakh could be made available by the State Government.

Age Limit
Candidates’ age be according to the Government of Bihar rules and regulations
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must complete MBBS from a University recognized by the State Medical Council/ Medical Council of India
- Candidates must complete an internship for a period of one year.
- Only the candidates who have completed the internship before two years (28-09-2022) are only eligible to apply.
Pay Scale
Selected candidates will get paid an average of Rs. 56,100/- + NPA by the recruiting organization
Selection Procedure
- All the candidates who had submitted applications along with requisite fees on or before the closing date will be shortlisted for the interview
- MBBS graduate’s selection will be based on their performance in the academics
- Final selection of the candidates based on their performance in the academic merit and interview
- Selected candidates will be allotted to the particular department depending on the requirement and also on a merit basis.
Application Fee
General category candidates must pay a fee of Rs. 1000/-, and Rs. 200/- for reserved category candidates in the form of a Demand Draft drawn in favor of Director, IGIMS, Payable at Patna.
